We have an extensive library of various bOS configuration examples. Select your heating pump, AC, TV or almost any other device and import it to your smart building configuration. We also encourage all system integrators and DIYs to add their own examples to ComfortClick library.
Controlling the AC units from Daikin by using Daikin API via wifi
Author: Laurentiu
Integration of DAIKIN API in bOS used to control EMURA or STYLISH units (or any modern models) over wireless connection using HTTP driver. Example provides many different control options for the AC unit (power, setpoint, fan speed, provides temperature and humidity values and much more) Example also comes with a pre-made button and frame design for easy importation into bOS.
Device preparation
Make sure your Daikin AC unit is compatible with their API as it no longer compatible for newer devices, we advise contacting supplier with devices information for the API integration.
Configuration
Download the example from our website and import it into your configuration. Step by step instructions on how to import are available in our instructional video.
In the main HTTP node, under Host URL fill out the IP address (with additional port if needed) to connect to the AC device. According to the AC unit used, some commands can be tweaked or changed using provided API references or device's manual. Daikin also provides a mobile app solution which requires connection trough Daikin cloud, if connection over 3G is required, which can be quite slow.

Daikin has removed their local API in newer products. They offer a cloud API accessible only under NDA, which is incompatible with open source. This affects units fitted with the BRP069C4x wifi adapter. :(
