Device preparation

Make sure the device is connected and running. Enable modbus communication if possible and connect the RTU connector to the server so the communication can be established. Check if device requires different connection settings and correct accordingly. For any additional help with the integration, make sure to contact their official support.

Configuration

Download the example from our website and import it into your configuration. Step by step instructions on how to import are available in our instructional video.

In this example, an integration of a Systemair ventilation unit via Modbus is presented. Additional Modbus information for Systemair Residental unit can be found in the following document: Modbus for Residential units. When the ventilation unit example is added into bOS, correct UDP configuration must be set in order to connect to the device. Make sure you read the manual of the device carefull so the communication settings are set correctly. Modbus adresses in the example will work for a large amount of Systemair ventilation units, if the received values are incorrect, addresses need to tweaked according to the device's manual. Additional addresses can be added if required.
