We have an extensive library of various bOS configuration examples. Select your heating pump, AC, TV or almost any other device and import it to your smart building configuration. We also encourage all system integrators and DIYs to add their own examples to ComfortClick library.
Nibe heatpump integration via Modbus with data logging
Author: Stijn Claessens
NNIBE heat pumps allow energy consumption to be reduced for heating and preparation of hot water by up to 80% compared to traditional heating systems. In addition, NIBE heat pumps are the most environmentally friendly and ecological heating devices that reduce CO2 emission. Geothermal heat is solar energy accumulated in the ground, groundwater and surface water reservoirs. The heating system based on the NIBE ground heat pump provides building heating and domestic hot water as well as a cooling function in summer.
Device preparation
System has built-in support for Modbus TCP/IP, which is activated in menu 7.5.9 - "Modbus TCP/IP". TCP/IP settings are set in menu 5.2 - "Network settings". Modbus protocol uses port 502 for communication. Match the same network information in the main Nibe Modbus node in the example once imported.
