We have an extensive library of various bOS configuration examples. Select your heating pump, AC, TV or almost any other device and import it to your smart building configuration. We also encourage all system integrators and DIYs to add their own examples to ComfortClick library.

Now it's really easy for anyone to use smart lighting. This driver allows you to connect your integrated lighting from IKEA – turn on, turn off and dim so you always have the right light and mood at home.

Device preparation

Make sure the hub and bulbs are connected and can already be controlled using the IKEA app. We will be using Ikea routines for our integration. For the integration we will need IKEA lights (they must also be included in their Home smart app), activated Alexa and IKEA skills. In the IKEA app, make sure to enable Alexa integration (you can find this under settings).

Configuration

In bOS, we can use a virtual light or an actual light connected and working in the current configuration. Under API and Alexa, add a new device and link that device to our lamp using power function. Make sure to also set a name, so it can be used in the Alexa app. Once our bOS lamp is visible in Alexa skill, make sure IKEA skill in alexa can also see the bulbs, after the bulbs are visible everywhere we can start the integration. In the Alexa application, create two new routines (one for power ON and the other for power OFF). Create a power ON routine, select WHEN bOS light = true, turn the IKEA lamp on. Create another opposite routine for power off. After the button on bOS is pressed, the IKEA lamp should turn on.
