The Seaplane Harbour Museum renovation showcases a cutting-edge smart control system for managing all lighting and environmental features of the museum. Utilizing ComfortClick's bOS PRO server, the system oversees KNX lighting control, KNX curtains, DMX lighting effects, and DALI/KNX integration for versatile lighting solutions.
The electrical infrastructure of the project is based on Siemens products, while all controls are expertly managed via ComfortClick's software. KNX technology is used to control not only lighting but also curtains, ensuring complete automation of various environmental elements in the museum. DMX was employed to deliver special lighting effects, and DALI/KNX provided further flexibility in managing lighting systems.
This project is a testament to the seamless integration of modern smart home solutions within a historical building, dating back to 1916–1917. By blending advanced technologies with traditional architecture, the renovation preserves the cultural heritage of the Seaplane Harbour Museum while enhancing the visitor experience with intelligent lighting displays and efficient energy use.
The unique aspect of this project lies in its ability to bring new-age solutions to a historically significant building. The smart control system not only optimizes energy efficiency but also offers flexibility, providing a dynamic and innovative environment for museum visitors. This successful combination of old and new technologies makes the Seaplane Harbour Museum renovation a standout case in smart automation.
